Description
Wilde Gezichten is a custom built-in cabinet and was made specially for a client as part of our bespoke service. It is not available for purchase, but may serve as a model for a custom piece specially made for you.
The cabinet was custom-built into an L-shaped pony wall that acts as a room divider between the kitchen and the living room. The client wanted a solution that would offer both functional storage and a visual connection between the two spaces. The bar top provides a casual serving counter and a welcoming spot for conversation, inviting interaction between the kitchen and living room.
Beneath the bar, an open shelf offers space for books, while additional storage is tucked behind cabinet doors below.
Wilde Gezichten is distinguished by the striking, wild grain patterns of salvaged silver ash wood. The bookmatched cabinet doors not only highlight the natural beauty of the wood, but also evoke the whimsical suggestion of faces — fantastical creatures or animals emerging from the grain. It’s from these “wild faces” that Wilde Gezichten takes its name.
