Rank is a custom bookcase that was created specially for a client as part of our bespoke service. Though this piece is not available for purchase, it can serve as inspiration for a personalized piece made specifically for you.
The bookcase was designed for the client’s home office, balancing both functionality and character. She wanted a piece that would not only serve as a practical storage solution but also serve as a bold, striking feature in the room, adding depth and character to her workspace.
Rank has a slender design with its tall curved legs and open spaces. Its most defining feature is the central cabinet section, which is held in place only laterally by triple rails, creating the illusion of being suspended in mid-air. It further draws attention with its exquisitely figured maple burl doors, adding even more character to the piece. The bookcase also features visible hand-cut dovetail and mortise-and-tenon joints, revealing the fine craftmanship that went into its creation.
