The week starts with a new addition to our portfolio! Zestig is a minimalist side table made out of cherry, walnut, and maple. It was made as a gift for the 60th birthday of a loved one. ❤️

Strepen Drie is a striped serving board that will make your hors d’oeuvres, sushis, or cheeses look even more delightful. This is Espenaer’s third striped serving board – Strepen and drie simply mean ‘stripes’ and ‘three’ respectively in Dutch – and features 8 different woods!
Since we moved into this iconic former school in Amsterdam-West, we’ve committed ourselves to creating a workshop that inspires people and makes them feel a connection with artisanal woodworking. The latest job was finally painting those awful exterior doors to Espenaer’s characteristic navy blue. 🙂
Vlekken is a cute little cabinet designed to store your wine and liquor, but is also perfectly fitted for other items of comparable height and size.
Entirely crafted by hand out of sustainably sourced oak and maple and featuring traditional wood joints.
For more info and photos, have a look in our webshop.
The case consists of four wide oak boards joined together at each corner using finger joints along the entire width. The joints were cut by hand using a Dozuki saw and Western-style chisels. The entire piece is made solely using hand tools.

Every now and then we go treespotting (and hugging). Such marvelous beings they are. Some shots here of the leaves of the common walnut (Juglans regia), the pin oak (Quercus Palustris), and common beech (Fagus sylvatica)
